Alexanders 20th Anniversary

Alexanders marked the opening of its new Heathrow warehouse and also the 20thAnniversary of the business, alongside Ruth Cadbury MP and a number of other high-profile figures.

As one of the UKs leading removal and storage companies, Alexanders has successfully combined both year-on-year growth with a robust and committed charity focus, collecting and delivering over 200 tonnes of food and supplies to foodbanks throughout the pandemic amongst other initiatives.

Founded in 2002 as a one man-and-van operation, the company has gone on to be named the UK Domestic Remover of the Year, the highest accolade in the removals industry. The business now moves and stores for a wide range of celebrities, household brands and high-profile commercial clients whilst also serving residents throughout London. The opening of the new Heathrow warehouse is the latest step in the company’s expansion.

Artist, Penny Linton, who opened Alexanders first warehouse in 2006 unveiled a bespoke art installation to mark the occasion.

Alexanders founder, Alex Pope said

‘Alexanders has been my life’s work and I can’t tell you how proud I am to be associated with this incredible team, our community and the story we have all written together’.

‘For our MP, Ruth Cadbury, to find the time in her busy schedule to come and attend this event is enormously validating. We greatly appreciate Ruth attending and her recognition of the importance of mid-sized local businesses to the local area and the wider UK economy’.

Ruth Cadbury MP commented;

‘I am delighted that Alexanders have opened their new warehouse in the borough and that they are helping to support the Hounslow Community Foodbox. I would urge other companies to follow suit and help the Foodbox or other foodbanks wherever they can.’

Andrew Dakers, CEO of West London Business, said;

‘Alexanders is a London success story. In February, at our gala business awards at Twickenham Stadium Alexanders won Logistics Business of the Year, the Responsible Workplace Award and the Community Investment Award. It was therefore no surprise to me when our panel of judges also named Alexanders the West London Company of the Year. We applaud Alex and his team for their remarkable achievements’

Ian Studd, Director General of the British Association of Removers added;

‘We have been visiting and inspecting Alexanders for many years and I’ve always been hugely impressed with the company. They are a first-class example of how to look after staff whilst providing an exceptional customer experience. We were delighted to name them the leading removal company in the UK. We look forward to seeing the company reach new heights over the next 20 years’
