Contract: Full Time Perm Tues to Sat

Salary: £29-38k depending on experience

Location: TW4 &/or NW10 (Sat)

 

The Role: 

Alexanders is a multi-award-winning relocation and storage company based in London, including winner of the Domestic Mover of the Year award from the British Association of Removers. We complete over 1,000 domestic and commercial moves annually, supporting clients from one-bedroom flats to large estates.

We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service across residential moves, business relocations, storage solutions, and specialist logistics.

We are looking for a Move Manager to join our friendly, expanding team. The ideal candidate thrives on building strong relationships, delivering outstanding customer service, and acting as a trusted ambassador for the company. This is a dynamic role combining sales coordination with end-to-end move management. You will serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience from initial enquiry through to completion

This role is critical to maintaining the company’s reputation for excellence by ensuring smooth, efficient, and client-focused moving experiences. International Moving Experience would be a bonus.

 

Key responsibilities of the role:

· Manage incoming calls, emails, and social media enquiries; identify client needs and recommend appropriate services.

· Convert enquiries into surveys (video, site, or self-survey), optimising surveyor schedules and appointments.

· Prepare and issue accurate quotations, including obtaining third-party rates and ensuring all services are costed in line with company profitability targets.

· Conduct follow-ups to confirm receipt of quotations, address queries, secure bookings, and update the company database.

· Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring clear communication and coordination between clients, operations teams, suppliers, and internal departments.

· Plan and coordinate all logistical and operational requirements for moves, including booking third-party services such as contractors, parking, and specialist providers.

· Manage specialised requirements, including delicate item handling, storage arrangements, and complex logistics.

· Proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring a smooth and efficient moving experience.

· Manage client expectations through clear, timely communication throughout the move lifecycle.

· Maintain accurate records of move activities, client interactions, and service performance using the company database (Moveware).

· Handle invoicing, monitor payments, and gather client feedback, including post-move follow-ups and review requests.

· Manage ongoing client relationships, including repeat business, storage requirements, and general enquiries.

· Oversee storage operations, including maintaining storage records, managing moves in and out of storage, and producing final statements of account in line with company processes.

 

Other responsibilities:

· Work from our NW10 site on Saturdays

· Responding to incoming queries

· Managing customer complaints

· Support Sales team with appointment making where required.

· Work closely with the Sales team/Surveyors, providing support with following up on quotations.

 

About You:

You are a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proactive and self-motivated, you are confident in identifying opportunities to upsell and promote the full range of Alexanders’ services.

You possess strong communication and IT skills, enabling you to build relationships and manage tasks efficiently.

Previous experience as a Move Manager is desirable, and experience in international moving would be an advantage. However, we are also open to bright, quick learners who demonstrate the right attitude and willingness to develop within the role.
